7 WWE Superstars who have never won a PPV main-show match

Mojo Rawley often wins on kickoff shows, but not main shows

Wins and losses don’t count for everything in WWE, but they certainly go a long way to telling us how the company perceives its featured Superstars.

We recently had a look at five performers with the worst win ratios in WWE, with the only rule being that they must have lost at least 10 matches on pay-per-views.

In this article, with more lenient rules, let’s take a look at seven WWE Superstars who have never won a main-show PPV match (i.e., kickoff shows don’t count) in their entire career.

#7 Mike Kanellis (one PPV match)

Mike Kanellis hasn't received much TV time in WWE

Since debuting alongside wife Maria Kanellis at Money In The Bank 2017, Mike Kanellis has won only one of his five televised matches and he has only appeared in one pay-per-view match.

That came at Battleground 2017, where he was defeated in seven minutes by Sami Zayn in the penultimate match on the show.

Since then, Mike has continued to perform at live events but he hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since losing to Bobby Roode on SmackDown Live in October 2017.

#6 Tye Dillinger (two PPV matches)

Tye Dillinger hasn't had much luck on the main roster

Tye Dillinger became one of NXT’s most popular Superstars towards the end of his time with the brand. However, as is often the case when people transition to the main roster, he hasn’t been used anywhere near as much on WWE pay-per-views.

“The Perfect Ten” has competed in just two main-show PPV matches – the 2017 Royal Rumble and the United States title Triple Threat at Hell In A Cell 2017 – but he was unable to win on either occasion.

He did trade victorious with Aiden English on kickoff shows in 2017, winning at Backlash and losing at Battleground, but his main-show record still reads W0 L2.

#5 Elias (two PPV matches)

Elias
Elias has featured heavily on Raw, but not so much on PPV

Considering he has been a prominent figure on Raw ever since his call-up to the main roster from NXT, it’s a little surprising that Elias has only featured in two main-show matches on pay-per-view.

His first came at TLC 2017, where he lost inside nine minutes against Jason Jordan, and then he was eliminated by John Cena at the 2018 Royal Rumble.

He’s fared much better on kickoff show matches, defeating Apollo Crews at No Mercy and Matt Hardy at Survivor Series, but he’s still yet to win on a PPV main card.

#4 Mojo Rawley (three PPV matches)

Mojo Rawley's biggest successes have come on kickoff shows

Looking at Mojo Rawley’s overall pay-per-view record (W7 L5), he has a more impressive win ratio than many of WWE’s top Superstars, even better than Roman Reigns.

However, just taking his main-show PPV appearances into account, the former Hype Bro lost in tag matches at Backlash and Survivor Series in 2016, while he was unable to win the 2017 Royal Rumble.

Outside of that, he has won seven of his nine kickoff show matches, most memorably at WrestleMania 33 and Clash of Champions 2017, but none of his victories came on a PPV main show.

#3 Lana (three PPV matches)

Lana challenged for the SmackDown Women's title at Money In The Bank 2017

Lana recently picked up her first-ever victory in WWE, defeating Bayley and Elias alongside Rusev in the Mixed Match Challenge, so it’s no surprise to see her make this list.

“The Ravishing Russian” unsuccessfully challenged Naomi for the SmackDown Women’s title at Money In The Bank 2017, while she failed to emerge victorious in a five-way elimination match at Battleground 2017 or at the 2018 Royal Rumble.

Her only PPV kickoff show appearance – a five-on-five match on the WrestleMania 32 kickoff show – also ended in defeat.

#2 Bo Dallas (five PPV matches)

I
It's hard to bo-lieve in Bo Dallas with a record like this!

Bo Dallas has lost multi-man matches at three pay-per-view events (Royal Rumble 2013, Battleground 2014 and WrestleMania 32), while he was defeated by Neville in a singles match at Elimination Chamber 2015.

His only other main-show PPV match came against Kofi Kingston at Payback 2014. However, it lasted just 32 seconds before Kane interfered and caused a no-contest finish.

Bo has also lost on four kickoff shows during his career, with his only victory coming when The Miztourage defeated the Hardy Boyz and Jason Jordan at SummerSlam 2017.

#1 Aiden English (six PPV matches)

Aiden Engl
Aiden English will surely have some Happy Rusev Days on PPV soon

Aiden English has appeared in five pay-per-view main-show tag team matches (four w/Simon Gotch and one w/Rusev) but has never emerged victorious.

His only appearance on a PPV main card as a singles competitor came at the 2018 Royal Rumble, where he entered at #22 and lasted just over two minutes before being eliminated by Finn Balor.

As for kickoff shows, English has lost five of his six matches, with his only victory coming against Tye Dillinger at Battleground 2017.
