Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have been absent for around a month now and their last showing for 2019 was losing to Charlotte and Becky Lynch in a tag-team match on Monday Night RAW.

The pair are undeniably perfect together and yet haven't quite managed to live up to the hype of their debut, which saw them make a huge statement by attacking Charlotte Flair and eventually costing her the SmackDown Women's Title.

One of the main issues has been their booking. The IIconics are the longest reigning Women's Tag Team Champions, at least in the brief history of those Titles. It sure doesn't seem like it though, since they only defended them four times over their 120 day reign.

Even when they did wrestle, they weren't really allowed to show much of their actual wrestling abilities. Instead the focus was more on them cheating and throwing tantrums. Whilst these things are valuable parts of their characters, I think it's important to also highlight that they're not at all bad wrestlers and let them display that in the ring. That's even where 'new year, new start' could really benefit Royce and Kay.
