Jason Jordan and Chad Gable made their main roster debuts in 2016 as a team (American Alpha). The team wasn’t as successful on the main roster as it was on NXT. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan split in the summer of 2017.

Jordan moved to Raw and was introduced as Kurt Angle’s illegitimate son. It looked like Jordan might receive a big push. However, the overwhelmingly negative reaction from the WWE Universe caused WWE creative to make him a tweener.

Jordan then started getting involved in The Shield's matches and story-lines. After Dean Ambrose suffered an injury, Jordan was paired with Seth Rollins and together, they won the Raw Tag Team Championships.

It looked like the two might not stay on good terms with each other for long and Jordan would complete his heel turn by betraying Seth soon but Jordan suffered an injury, causing those plans to be scrapped.

If Jordan returns by the end of the year, he would most likely reform the American Alpha with Chad Gable. Plans for Jordan's huge singles push might have been completely scrapped by now. An American Alpha reunion however, could be a huge boost to Raw's current Tag Team Division.
