8 current WWE/NXT wrestlers who have never lost a televised singles match

If you want to get someone over in a wrestling promotion, especially if you want them to look dominant, one of the simplest and easiest ways to do so, is to have them never lose, regardless of their opponents.

We all remember Goldberg's incredible title run and The Undertaker's legendary Wrestlemania undefeated streak, both of these are great examples of how keeping a wrestler undefeated helps to increase the popularity and excitement surrounding their matches.

Incredibly, the WWE currently has several Superstars who they could give the same treatment to, as they are yet to lose a televised singles match in the brand. In fact, here are eight Superstars signed to the WWE/NXT who haven't been beaten in singles competition.

#8 Asuka

Asuka remains unbeaten in single's competition and hasn't lost for over 510+ days
Asuka remains unbeaten in single's competition and hasn't lost for over 510+ days

We start off with the obvious one, Asuka. The WWE has made several allusions to Asuka's incredible unbeaten run in NXT, amounting to 510 days, during that time Asuka confidently defeated every competitor and was brought up to the main roster due to lack of competition.

Her main roster debut hasn't been as dominant with Emma pushing Asuka more than expected in her first two matches. But she got herself back on track after demolishing a local enhancement talent on this week's Raw.

Asuka isn't unstoppable though, she has been beaten (a long time ago.) She lost a battle royal to determine the #1 contender for the NXT Women's Title which Bayley won, and she's lost some Fatal 4-way title matches at house shows, although she was never pinned. If I'm not mistaken, Asuka has never been pinned since joining the WWE.

#7 Aleister Black

Can anyone kick out of the Black Mass?
Can anyone kick out of the Black Mass?

Aleister Black is the dominant Superstar in NXT at the moment, since his debut at NXT TakeOver: Orlando, in a winning effort against Andrade "Cien" Almas, he has beaten everyone that the yellow brand has put in front of him.

Despite his recent opponents being wrestlers of incredible calibre, like Kassius Ohno, Hideo Itami, Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly, Aleister Black has triumphed over all of them. He's even racked up a main roster victory against Curt Hawkins during WWE Main Event.

Now, Aleister Black currently finds himself in a feud with The Velveteen Dream, another NXT wrestler who hasn't lost a televised single's match (with that gimmick) so it's likely that one of the two streaks will end at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

Aleister Black lost against Neville in a surprise bonus match during the WWE UK Tournament. But during that match, he wrestled as Tommy End, meaning that Aleister Black has still never lost on WWE television.

#6 Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane is truly undefeated in the WWE

Kairi hasn't competed in a number of matches within the WWE, but as the Mae Young Classic tournament winner, Kairi remains unbeaten, as she wouldn't have won the tournament if she didn't beat everyone else she faced along the way.

But Sane also boasts one NXT TV taping win as well when she defeated Aliyah on September 14th, 2017, and is likely to rack up another one against Billie Kay. In fact, at this stage, Kairi Sane is the favourite to become the next NXT Women's Champion at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

Sane also has a statistic that not many WWE wrestlers, including Asuka, can say that have. During her short career in the WWE Sane has never lost a match, house show or televised, tag-team or singles, she's 100% unbeaten.

#5 Sonya Deville

Sonya Deville lost plenty of matches when she was Daria Berenato including two 6-women tag matches, an NXT Women's Title match against Asuka and a single's match to Billie Kay of all people.

However, since she became Sonya Deville the only matches she's lost have been a triple-threat match to determine who qualifies for the NXT TakeOver: WarGames women's title match and a battle royal that Ember Moon, Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross managed to draw. So technically, she didn't even lose that as it ended in a no contest.

Rachel Evers, Jenna Van Bemmel and Zeda have all fallen victim to the hard-hitting MMA style moves and crippling submissions of Deville, who seems to excel in singles competition.

#4 Drew McIntyre

The current NXT champion has beaten all comers on his return to WWE
The current NXT champion has beaten all comers on his return to WWE

Okay, I'll freely admit that this entry is cheating a little bit as we all remember Drew McIntyre as 'The Chosen One' and then as part of 3MB. Both spells in which the Scottish wrestler clearly lost matches.

However, McIntyre then left the WWE and honed his craft and skills on the independent wrestling circuit, becoming a better wrestler in the process. He's now returned to the WWE as a different performer, so I think treating the two WWE runs of Drew McIntyre as different is a fair thing to do.

Which brings us to his second run in the WWE, where he's the current NXT Champion. McIntyre returned on May 20th, defeating Wesley Blake, and has remained unbeaten ever since, beating Bobby Roode, the previous unbeaten Killian Dain, and Roderick Strong.

#3 The Velveteen Dream

The Velveteen Dream gimmick has done wonders for Patrick Clark, who now can't lose
The Velveteen Dream gimmick has done wonders for Patrick Clark, who now can't lose

Patrick Clark was someone who was losing a great deal on NXT until he was repackaged with the new gimmick, The Velveteen Dream. Since then it's been an entirely different story with Velveteen Dream racking up the wins on the scoresheet.

Ho Ho Lun, Cezar Bononi twice, and Lio Rush have all lost to the incredibly eccentric Superstar on NXT television, with Dream now setting his sights on the equally eccentric, albeit in an entirely different way, Aleister Black.

If I was a betting man, I'd be putting money on The Velveteen Dream registering his first singles loss at NXT TakeOver: WarGames because Aleister Black is going to kick his head off with Black Mass. But until then, The Velveteen Dream is undefeated in singles competition.

#2 Lars Sullivan

Lars Sullivan looks unstoppable in singles competition
Lars Sullivan looks unstoppable in singles competition

Lars Sullivan is being built up as NXT's Braun Strowman, an unstoppable big man who lays waste to all those who dare to set foot in the ring. He, unfortunately, racked up some tag-team losses when he would constantly attack his tag-team partner after losing, building up his vicious character.

But when he ditched having a tag-team partner and entered the singles competition. Lars truly started dominating, defeating a veritable who's who of NXT Superstars. Alfred Watkins, James Drake and Ricky Martinez couldn't stop him together, No Way Jose and Oney Lorcan couldn't stop him and neither could Danny Burch or Raul Mendoza.

At the moment it doesn't look like anyone can stop Sullivan, although Kassius Ohno looks set to be the next NXT Superstar to try. However, I don't fancy his chances of ending Sullivan's undefeated single's streak.

#1 Adam Cole

Adam Cole beat Eric Young in his first, and only, singles match in WWE, making him unbeaten!
Adam Cole beat Eric Young in his first, and only, singles match in WWE, making him unbeaten!

Adam Cole is undefeated in singles competition. That is a fact. He's only competed in one single's match against Eric Young, which he won but it still counts. He's never been beaten in singles competition in the WWE.

Which is more than can be said for Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish, his The Undisputed ERA compatriots who both debuted in losing efforts against Aleister Black. This makes Cole the most successful member of his stable in singles competition.

Cole is being built up as the one to take the belt off of Drew McIntyre and is due to face the NXT Champion in a title match the night before NXT TakeOver: WarGames where Cole and his faction are set to do battle in a historic WarGames match. But for now, from his one singles match, he's unbeaten.
