Seth Rollins hasn’t been his best since being betrayed by Dean Ambrose. There have been multiple occasions where Ambrose has gotten the better of Rollins. The Architect eventually lost his Intercontinental title to Ambrose at TLC.

Looking back at the past few weeks, maybe there could’ve been some reason as to why Rollins dropped his IC title. Maybe WWE has something bigger planned for him at WrestleMania. The former Intercontinental Champion has been one of WWE’s workhorses in recent years and since Roman Reigns is out indefinitely, WWE may be looking at Seth Rollins to replace him.
With the Royal Rumble match just around the corner, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have Rollins win it and face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania (assuming Brock wins his match against Braun Strowman). Remember, Seth Rollins won his first WWE Championship belt by cashing in his money in the bank contract against Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
This could be the final chapter in that story and what better place to end it than the place where it began - WrestleMania.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
