#4 Mojo Rawley betrays former WWE Intercontinental Champion Zack Ryder

WWE tried to push Mojo Rawley without the faintest streak of success. While Rawley's energy could not be discarded, he was not popular with fans.

Apart from his friendship with Rob Gronkowski, Rawley's biggest success was his in-ring partnership with Zack Ryder. The Hype Bros were an energetic tag team, inevitably cheered due to Ryder's popularity in the WWE Universe.

However, Rawley attacked Zack Ryder after a loss, turning heel for the first time in his WWE career. But the move took away all of his popularity.

#3 Cody Rhodes' betrayal of former WWE Hardcore Champion Hardcore Holly

Rhodes went on to become a bigger WWE star after he betrayed Holly but within the mid-card. Thus, the decision itself wasn't entirely wrong.

However, the sheer unbelievable nature of Rhodes betraying Holly by appearing as their opponent's surprise tag team partner made the moment note-worthy. Furthermore, both were the tag team champions at that point.

Holly left the company soon after, while Rhodes spent more than a decade there. He eventually left the promotion and played an instrumental role in establishing AEW.
