The Money in the Bank aftermath edition of this week's WWE RAW concluded with a shocker: Gunther regained the World Heavyweight Championship, beating Jey Uso and marking the end of the Yeet Master's title era after 52 days. The change was a massive upset, as no one saw it coming in a random episode of the red brand. Regardless, the RAW General Manager might instantly force the Ring General to defend his championship against the Main Event Uso.
The title match ended with chaos, as Gunther applied the Sleeper Choke on Jey Uso and suffocated him, putting him to sleep. The referee eventually rang the bell and ended the bout with a surprise title change.
However, General Manager Adam Pearce might force the Ring General to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso at the 2025 Night of Champions, as the Yeet Master could vow he didn’t quit.
Hence, WWE could add an “I quit” stipulation to the contest, adding more excitement to the rivalry and billing it as their final match.
That said, the angle proposed above is speculative, and nothing has been confirmed.
Former WWE employee believes Jey Uso would take time off after loss against Gunther on RAW
While speaking on the Behind The Turnbuckle show, ex-WWE employee Tommy Carlucci expressed that the Yeet Master should take time off television after losing against the Ring General on RAW, as he might be dealing with some injuries after having been a workhouse champion.
"I actually like Gunther right now. I think Jey's probably taking a little time off with these injuries, so-called injuries that he's had. So, maybe he's going to do that. We will see," Carlucci said. (From 05:07 to 05:15)
It will be interesting to see how Jey Uso would react to his loss on Monday Night RAW and whether he vows to get his World Heavyweight Championship.
