It's been an interesting week in the world of professional wrestling, especially when it comes to the issues between AEW and WWE. Randy Orton posted a teaser on Instagram that seemed to hint that The Viper could be looking to head over to AEW when his contract expires next year, whilst Seth Rollins took part in an interview where he publicly claimed that AEW were the "minor leagues" when he challenged Kenny Omega to a match.

AEW has been a ratings hit on TNT ever since their debut at the beginning of the month, and WWE has been firing on all cylinders since their move over to the FOX Network just two days later. Despite the fact that both promotions are managing to find success at the same time, it appears that they are unable to stop referencing each other.

#3 AEW's Women's Division features

Britt Baker returned to Pittsburgh this week
Britt Baker returned to Pittsburgh this week

Britt Baker returned to Pittsburgh this week when AEW arrived in the town where she first studied to be a doctor, and the company made a huge deal out of the fact that Baker was in her "hometown." They even gave her a match against Jamie Hayter, where she came out victorious.

Baker's hometown arrival showed just how much AEW values their women's division since WWE failed to feature a women's match as part of their show this week. WWE arrived in Cleveland. Ohio on Monday Night which is the home state of former Women's Champion Alexa Bliss, who's originally from Columbus, but she wasn't treated to the same kind of welcome as Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D.

Baker has been one of the women that AEW has focused on in recent weeks and is the girlfriend of NXT Champion Adam Cole, so great things are expected of the former medical student in the future.

#2 Chris Jericho's scarf

Chris Jericho stood in the middle of the ring two weeks ago and introduced "The Inner Circle" to the AEW crowd, and somehow managed to take three shots at WWE in the space of around 10 minutes. It's obvious that Jericho holds a grudge and once again this week he couldn't help but make a comment about his former residence.

Jericho is building towards his match with Cody Rhodes at Full Gear and as part of a promo this week, MJF made his way to the ring to help Rhodes even out the numbers game. Jericho was up in the stands with a microphone and referenced the fact that MJF had a scarf on by stating "So now I've got to be scared of someone wearing a scarf?"

Jericho became famous for his overly expensive scarves throughout his time in WWE, it's unknown if this was another shot at creative who could have been the ones forcing Jericho to wear these scarves on a regular basis, or if it was a shot at the character that he became when he was still contracted to WWE.

#1 Cody Rhodes comments on WWE's "invisible wall"

As part of AEW Double or Nothing a few months ago, Cody Rhodes fired a huge shot at WWE and Triple H when he destroyed a throne as part of his entrance. He has since made a number of subtle comments about his former employers, but it seems that this week was the first time that Rhodes has been outspoken about WWE.

Rhodes is currently embroiled in a feud against Chris Jericho, who currently holds the AEW World Championship and as part of the show this week, he tried to cut a promo but was cut off by Jericho's booing in the audience.

He then stepped out of the ropes and stated: "This isn't like the other wrestling company we came from, this isn't an invisible wall right here, I can easily step through and I can easily come up there and we can fight right here and right now."

Earlier in the night, Jericho and The Inner Circle had entered the arena with tickets and had seemingly enjoyed the match before Rhodes' promo but tried to put him off by booing and pressing air horns down the microphone.
