#3: Thunder Rosa paid tribute to Road Warrior Animal on this episode of AEW Dynamite
AEW displayed a graphic honoring Road Warrior Animal at the beginning of their episode. But that wasn't the only tribute dedicated to the tag team legend. Thunder Rosa's face paint was a tribute to Animal as well.
Rosa teamed up with the AEW Women's Champion, Hikaru Shida, in a tag team bout against Ivelisse and Diamante. Towards the end, Thunder Rosa tossed Ivelisse out of the ring and Hikaru Shida hit Diamante with a running knee maneuvre to secure the victory for her team.
As mentioned in the 'biggest news stories' piece for AEW Dynamite last week, the Women's Division has felt a bit different ever since Thunder Rosa entered the scene. A rematch between Rosa and Shida is inevitable because these two women have been at the top of their game on AEW Dynamite recently.
Ivelisse and Diamante are good additions to the female roster on Dynamite as well. This might just be the beginning of AEW's extensive focus towards their female stars on the roster, but they still have a long way to go in terms of developing other stars apart from Hikaru Shida, Thunder Rosa, and Britt Baker.
