Jake Hager and Chris Jericho teamed up on AEW Dynamite to take on Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss, in a match that went on far too long. But that wasn't the big issue with this segment, because it is what happened after this AEW Dynamite match, that raised some eyebrows.
Santana and Ortiz are supposed to be the tag team specialists in The Inner Circle, and when they left IMPACT Wrestling, they were the top team in the company as LAX. Yes, they are still very much on television but they have been feuding with The Best Friends on AEW Dynamite, and one had assumed that it would lead to them going up the tag team ranks.
Unfortunately, it seems like Jake Hager and Chris Jericho will occupy that spot. This is not good news for Santana and Ortiz.
Unless, the overall plan is to lead to a rift between the Inner Circle on AEW Dynamite, which isn't the best news either.
