Who will compete to earn the right to challenge for the AEW Tag Championships?

Tony Schiavone was in the middle of the ring when we came back to AEW Dynamite to draw lots to determine who would fight to be the next #1 contenders for the AEW Tag Team Championship.

The teams who were drawn to compete ended up being Private Party, Silver and Reynolds, The Butcher and The Blade, and The Young Bucks. The segment ended in chaos after The Young Bucks started dishing out superkicks.

Hikaru Shida (C) vs Big Swole (for the AEW Women's Championship) on AEW Dynamite

Hikaru Shida dominated the early stages of the match. Shida overpowered Swole before the match spilled out to ringside. Swole briefly took control after blindsiding Shida but the champ was soon back in it. Shida had Swole positioned on the barricade and laid into her.

Back in the ring, Shida hit a Samoan Drop. Swole hit back with a cutter onto the entrance ramp followed by a second in the middle of the ring. Shida replied with a German Suplex for a nearfall. Unable to put Swole away, Shida followed up with a Falcon Arrow for another nearfall.

Swole connected with the Dirty Dancing, forcing Shida to reach for the bottom rope. Shida replied with her patented knee strike to put Swole away and retain the AEW Women's Championship in an excellent championship bout on AEW Dynamite.
