This week's episode of AEW Dynamite saw SCU defend the AEW Tag-Team Championships against The Young Bucks. We also had Kenny Omega and Hangman Page joining forces to take on the Lucha Bros as well as Chris Jericho going one on one with Jungle Boy.

Hangman Page and Kenny Omega vs The Lucha Bros

The crowd were hot for this match from even before the bell rang. Kenny Omega and Fenix kicked things off and things were pretty even until both men tagged out. Pentagon and Page came in as the legal men and neither man showed too much respect for the other and soon started trading knife-edged chops. Pentagon followed it up with a boot but Page hit back one of his own before tagging in Omega.

Omega and Pentagon traded tags, working on Pentagon Jr. Fenix got involved from ringside, giving Pentagon an opening to his Page a superkick. Page replied with a clothesline and both men went down. Omega was the first to tag himself in, going after both Pentagon and Fenix.

Omega bit on more than he could chew and the Lucha Bros were all over him, hitting him with an incredible sequence of offense. Fenix came in as the legal man at this point but Omega met with a Powerbomb and a running knee. Omega took the opening to tag Hangman back in. Page took out Pentagon from the apron first before turning his attention to Fenix. The big man then knocked both Lucha Bros out of the ring on opposite sides and followed it up with two tope suicidas through the ropes.

Omega came back in as the legal man and powerbombed Fenix into his partner Pentagon Jr who was in the corner. He followed it up with a powerbomb to Pentagon but it didn't put him away. Pentagon replied with a slingblade. Pentagon went for the Packaged Piledriver at this point. Hangman Page came in to make the save but hit Kenny Omega with the Buckshot Lariat by mistake. The Lucha Bros capitalized and hit Omega with the Packaged Piledriver-Double Stomp combo for the win.

Darby Allin and Cody vs The Butcher and The Blade (w/ The Bunny)

Darby Allin and The Butcher started off the match but the Blade soon tagged himself in. Despite the size difference, Darby used his speed to full effect, hitting the Blade with a rolling arm drag, sending him out of the ring.

Both Cody and the Butcher tagged in at this point. The Butcher took control of the match during the ad break and the heels traded tags working on Cody. He was sent out to ringside and while his back was turned, The Bunny sent him face-first into the ring post.

Cody finally made his tag and Darby Allin came in hot, hitting The Blade with a Code Red. However, Darby didn't see that a blind tag had been made and was blindsided by The Butcher. Butcher locked in a Boston Crab at this point. Cody tried to break it up but The Butcher wouldn't budge.

Darby finally broke free and both men hit stereo suicide dives out to ringside. Back in the ring, Darby took out The Butcher with a coffin drop from the top rope to the apron. Meanwhile, Cody hit The Blade with a Cody Cutter from the top rope to pick up the win.

Chris Jericho vs Jungle Boy (non-title match)

Jungle Boy was aggressive early on, using his speed to his advantage. After some incredible high-flying offense, Jungle Boy tried to roll Jericho up but only got a 2-count. Jericho replied with a Codebreaker early on but Jungle Boy managed to reach the ropes to break the count.

Jericho had the referee distracted after this and Hager took advantage at ringside. Luchasaurus got involved at this point and Marko Stunt got taken by Hager. Jungle Boy regrouped and followed it up by dumping Jericho out of the ring and launching himself at Le Champion, three times in a row.

As the clock wound down, Jericho locked in the Walls Of Jericho. Jungle Boy somehow held on until the clock wound down to zero.

Jericho thought he'd won the match but that wasn't the case. He forced officials to give him five more minutes. Jungle Boy made great use of the extra time, almost pinning Jericho with two roll-ups. Jericho wasn't having any of this and walked away with his title belt.

Match ends in a draw

Jericho came back out after the match to throw a tantrum at ringside, destroying the announcer's table and more. Jericho was interviewed by Tony Schiavone. He took the mic and changed the subject, asking Jon Moxley to make the wise decision and to join the Inner Circle. Jericho also promised him a huge surprise on the 1st January episode of Dynamite.

Kris Statlander vs Dr. Britt Baker (#1 contenders match)

Both Baker and Statlander made a strong start to the match, going back and forth. Baker had a chin lock pegged in early but Statlander made it back to her feet pretty easily, She replied with a forearm before eating a clothesline and going down.

Statlander tried to hit her handstand leg drop but missed it. Both women traded chops after this which Statlander got the better of. Baker replied with an elbow strike, taking Statlander down. Baker tried to go for the lockjaw but just couldn't hook it in. Statlander broke free and hit a running knee on the apron before heading to the top rope and hitting a dropkick for a 2-count.

Statlander followed it up with a massive boot but Baker went for a superkick. The doctor then tried to lock in the Lockjaw but she was in for a nasty surprise. Statlander made it back to her feet with Baker still hanging on and followed it up with the Big Bang Theory piledriver to pick up another massive win.

The undefeated Kris Statlander will now challenge RIho for the AEW Women's Championship at a future date.

Brandi Rhodes came out after the match. However, Statlander once again rejected her advances to join the Nightmare Collective. This led to Rhodes clocking Statlander with her shoe.

SCU (C) vs The Young Bucks (for the AEW Tag-Team Championships)

Matt Jackson and Kazarian started things off. Kazarian started off strong for the champions and soon tagged in Scorpio Sky. They hit a double team before Kazarian was dumped out of the ring.

The Bucks took control of the match at this point for a short period, isolating Kazarian. Scorpio Sky hit a hurricanrana from the ringside to the apron to Nick Jackson. Meanwhile, in the ring, Kazarian got a 2-count off of Matt Jackson before Matt made the tag. Nick Jackson came in like a house on fire off the hot tag, taking both members of SCU down. He then hit an incredible springboard hurricanra to Scorpio Sky for a nearfall. The Bucks then dumped both members of SCU out to ringside before Nick Jackson followed it up with an Escalera.

The Young Bucks continued their dominance during the ad break, hitting Scorpio Sky with the Risky Business for a nearfall. Scorpio Sky came back in with a series of right hands before double teaming Matt Jackson along with Kazarian. Nick Jackson launched himself at Scorpio Sky at this point, who countered with a cutter. Sky maneuvered this into a Dragon Sleeper. Matt Jackson eventually broke up the submission by suplexing Kazarian into Sky.

Sky hit a nasty looking German Suplex at this point and it looked like Matt Jackson landed on his head. SCU then hit Matt with the SCU later and Sky pinned him to retain the titles.

The Dark Order came out after the match and the creepers attacked both teams. Christopher Daniels tried to intervene but the numbers game was too much. Kenny Omega was the next man to come out and try to help, but the numbers proved to be too much again.

The Rhodes brothers were out next but they were overwhelmed too. This proved to be John Silver and Alex Reynold's initiation into the Dark Order.
