AEW News: Chris Jericho absolutely rips into Brock Lesnar on Twitter

Will Lesnar respond?
Will Lesnar respond?

What's the story?

If you aren't keeping tabs on Chris Jericho's Twitter handle at this moment, then you're missing out on what may be one of the greatest drunken rants of all time!

While Jericho put out a tweet in which he collectively targeted WWE, Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor, his subsequent tweet specifically ripped into Brock Lesnar. Y2J isn't playing around folks!

In case you didn't know...

Jericho last appeared for the WWE at the Greatest Royal Rumble where he was the 50th entrant before getting eliminated by Braun Strowman. He returned to NJPW and worked the Wrestle Kingdom 13 event at the Tokyo Dome in a match in which he lost the IWGP Intercontinental title to Tetsuya Naito.

The former WWE Champion made a surprising appearance at All Elite Wrestling's (AEW) media event and was confirmed to sign a full-time contract with the upstart promotion helmed by businessman Tony Khan.

His publicized association with AEW led to WWE moving him to their Alumni section on its website including being axed from WWE's opening video packages.

The heart of the matter

With Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks as the executive vice presidents and the funding coming from wealthy business tycoons Tony and Shahid Kahn, AEW may actually be able to give WWE a run for their money.

Y2J seems to be sold on the idea, which was evident by his tweets. He first put out the tweet given below, which could be taken as a warning to all AEW competitors:

He then targeted Brock Lesnar and told the WWE Universal Champion to lose some weight! Jericho and Lesnar have previously been involved in a backstage scuffle after the infamous SummerSlam incident that ended with a bloody image of Randy Orton.

It should be noted that this was after the Beast Incarnate successfully defended the title against Finn Balor at the recently concluded Royal Rumble event.

Jericho even found the entire Rumble event boring...

What's next?

The preparations are on in full swing for AEW's first major event Double or Nothing which will take place at the iconic MGM Grand Arena.

AEW is busy stacking up their roster while WWE and all the other top promotions are trying their best to hold onto their talents.

Jericho, in the meantime, isn't shying away from taking shots on Twitter.
