What's the story?

To say that All Elite Wrestling is taking the pro wrestling world by storm would be an understatement. Selling out the iconic MGM Grand Arena in 4 minutes is a commendable feat that has garnered great reactions from all corners.

Chris Jericho released a video on Twitter in which the former WWE Superstar took all the credit for the quick sell-out. And guess who commented on Y2J's incredible heel promo? The most electrifying man in showbiz himself, The Rock!

In case you didn't know...

AEW is gearing up for their first ever show, Double or Nothing which will take place at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas on May 25th, 2019.

Here is how the card looks like as of this writing:

* Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho

* "Hangman" Adam Page vs. PAC

* Pentagon Jr. and Fenix vs. The Young Bucks

* SCU (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, and Scorpio Sky) vs. CIMA and two partners from OWE

* Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose vs. Kylie Rae

* Cody vs. Mystery Opponent

More matches are expected to be added to the card that already looks to be quite solid. And Y2J, as expected, isn't missing out on the opportunity to brag about his contributions...

The heart of the matter

Jericho proved why he is one of the most gifted microphone workers in pro wrestling yet again by cutting a promo in which he even boasted of being greater than Mahatma Gandhi and John Lennon. GOAT!

He also hyped up his rematch against Kenny Omega in the video which you can view below:

The high-quality promo managed to get a reaction from the Rock, who congratulated Y2J and the promotion on the sell-out:

Class act!

What's next?

Dwayne Johnson will be appearing in the spin-off of the Fast and Furious franchise spin-off titled Hobbs and Shaw alongside Jason Statham, which is scheduled to release in August 2nd, 2019.

AEW, the meantime, will hopefully continue to be the news for all the right reasons.
