AJ Styles opens up on finally being in the WWE, Chris Jericho and his WrestleMania 32 moment
The Phenomenal One sat down with WWE veteran Michael Cole recently
It seems the wait was worth it for the WWE’s hottest newbie, AJ Styles. After plying his trade all over the world, the P1 is making waves in the biggest wrestling promotion in the world despite being here for just over a month.
Styles was recently interviewed by Michael Cole. It showed us the convivial man behind the wrestler that is AJ Styles. One of the talking points from the interview was Styles seemingly much-delayed debut in the WWE.
Uttering the cliche that “timing is everything”, Styles went on to reveal that he was part of the WCW at the time and when the outfit was bought by WWE, he wasn’t amongst the names chosen.
Emphasizing that it’s still incredulous that he’s in the WWE, Styles confessed that he had to will himself not to give away the nerves he felt when debuting in the Royal Rumble. Styles also enumerated the similarities between him and his current tag team partner, Chris Jericho and how enriching working with him is. Styles went on to say that he is looking forward to having his WrestleMania moment
