India has one of the largest professional wrestling fan bases and it is only natural that WWE is trying to extend its presence in India. Being a global leader in sports entertainment, WWE has successfully left its mark in the Indian sub-continent and is looking to stretch its wings further.
Recently, WWE conducted two Live Events in Delhi to cater to the Indian fan-base. And now, WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio has arrived in Kolkata for his tour of India. The Mexican Superstar flew in all the way from US tonight for the PR of India. Despite his rigorous schedule, Del Rio will be meeting fans in few predetermined places in India. He will be interacting with fans at multiple venues.
WWE fans from Kolkata and Bangalore, will get a chance to meet the Former WWE Champion. On July 7, Del Rio will be visiting the Hope Foundation, before travelling to the prestigious East Bengal football club where he would interact with the players and fans prior to participating in a media round table interview.
On July 8, the Mexican will travel to Bangalore where he will interact with his fans at a personal level at Garuda Mall. The next day, July 9, the submission specialist will be visiting representatives of India at the Special Olympics in the morning. Later, in the evening, he would appear at the Hard Rock Cafe for a party hosted by Ten Sports.
Apart from these fan interactions, Alberto Del Rio will also participate in various interviews in Bangalore and Kolkata to promote WWE’s presence in India.
