The 2014 WWE Diva of the Year, AJ Lee, is reportedly out of action with an injury. According to a source, Lee has been working hurt so that WWE could finish off her feud with current WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella. It has also been said that there were plans to run a major injury angle to write Lee off from TV, but the plans were later scrapped.
The recent hair spray injury is the closest thing for Lee’s injury departure line, but several sources within the WWE believe that she will be back to action in 2015. Due to her injury angle being held off, WWE Divas Naomi and Natalya are moved into the title contender spot for the Divas Championship. It was originally planned that Naomi would challenge Nikki, but now they may go with Natalya instead.
