Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler double teamed Corbin off the bat, clotheslining the former NFL man over the barricade. When the action returned to the ring, Roode planted Ziggler with an atomic drop and lariat for two.
The Lone Wolf made his way back into the thick of things and left the former Intercontinental Champion supine outside the ring before going to work on Roode. Corbin hit a sidewalk slam for two, but Ziggler broke up the pinfall. After driving Ziggler into a barricade, Corbin hit Roode with a sideslam.
After a nearfall with the Deep Six, Corbin planted Roode on the top rope for a superplex. However, an interception by Ziggler allowed the champion to powerbomb both of his challengers. The former OVW man then drove Corbin shoulder first into the post before setting up a superkick which was reversed into a spinebuster.
An attempted Glorious DDT was reversed into a Dolph Ziggler DDT for two. Corbin then entered and exited the match, allowing Roode to finally hit a Glorious DDT on Ziggler. However, the champion made the save again before setting up an End of Days on Roode. This allowed Ziggler to sneak up on Corbin and nail him with a Zig-Zag. The pinfall is good!

Result: Dolph Ziggler defeated Baron Corbin and Bobby Roode to win the United States Championship
The title change has caught everyone off guard who expected Baron Corbin to retain the title with ease. The reason behind the move could be to facilitate a smooth transition from Corbin to Roode without making the Lone Wolf look too weak.
The Show-Off has been on a roll lately in his new gimmick and this win could signify WWE's faith in the veteran in the midst of his uncertain future with the company.
