As good as the main event match was, I thought that it was far too competitive. I get that Dustin Rhodes is right at the top of the AEW food chain, but honestly speaking I would have personally preferred to have seen Lance Archer vanquish him this week.
And while I understand the state of the world right now, I just think that the fact that Jake Roberts did not accompany Lance Archer to the ring took away the special element from him. Someone like Cody Rhodes is an established star and pretty much the face of the AEW roster, so he does not necessarily need Arn Anderson by his side.
But between Lance Archer and Jake Roberts, the latter is the bigger star by a mile and I just felt that his presence was missed during Archer's win. I am not necessarily advocating for Jake Roberts to be at the show in this pandemic, but the show could have been designed in such a way that his absence was felt less. And yes, top stars like Nyla Rose and Hangman Page not being a part of the AEW roster for this long has significantly hurt the product, in my opinion.
