There is nothing wrong with the idea of Asuka and Charlotte Flair, the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions, showing up on the WWE SmackDown brand to challenge the best in the division, to a match.

But when you have real tag teams, be it The Riott Squad or even Billie Kay and the mystery partner storyline in full-swing, did we need to see Baymella team up again, and Sasha Banks competing for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships once again?

One assumes that the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships were created, so that more women could get on the bill, who are not necessarily involved in the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship or the RAW Women's Championship picture.

And yet, Sasha Banks and Asuka were involved in the big match this week.

As good as the match was, shouldn't Charlotte Flair and Asuka be elevating the WWE RAW Women's Championship away from the tag team title picture? Lana was written out of an ongoing storyline for no real reason at all.
