WWE News: Brie Bella opens up about Nikki Bella & John Cena, reveals difficulties in Total Bellas filming

What’s the story?

Speaking to People, Brie Bella opened up on Nikki Bella’s separation from John Cena.

Brie revealed that Nikki is doing good; besides also noting the difficulties they faced in filming the latest season of Total Bellas.

In case you didn’t know…

Nikki and Cena were in a relationship since 2012.

Cena proposed marriage to Nikki at WrestleMania 33 last April, and the couple got engaged on the grandest stage of them all.

However, Cena and Nikki announced last week that they have indeed ended their relationship—something that has been garnering them mainstream media coverage over the past few days.

The heart of the matter

Speaking about how Nikki is doing after breaking off her engagement with Cena, Brie asserted that she is good.

She also added that her sister always puts up a brave front, and has more strength than any other woman she knows—perhaps even stronger than Wonder Woman.

Brie also pointed out that it was hard to film the latest season of Total Bellas, as she had to step back and allow Nikki to deal with her relationship issues.

Brie continued that her instinct is to protect her twin sister from everybody, however, considering what they do, she had to step back and let the proceedings play out on Total Bellas.

Brie stated—

"I have to give a lot of credit to John and Nicole…They really opened up their lives and they really wanted to close the curtain and be like this is it, we're done. My sister is really great with her fans in a way where she lets them connect with her. She lets them like go, 'My life isn't perfect and isn't easy' and lets them see the playbook of her life."

"John and Nicole allow the fans to see some very personal conversations, that to be honest, I was mind blown about…(Daniel) Brian and I both said, 'I don't think we'd allow them to see those conversations' but they do. I give them a lot of credit. You get to see where they're at today and see that unravel."

What’s next?

The Bella Twins recently teased an in-ring return to WWE, as both Nikki and Brie are open to the idea of performing on SmackDown Live.

Meanwhile, Cena performs on a part-time schedule in WWE and continues to focus on his Hollywood career.
