Cena wants time off- Is marriage on the cards? Ambrose finally getting a push?

Why does Cena want time off?

– John Cena has been a tireless worker and the face of WWE over the last decade. Cena is the current United States Champion and probably the most ‘over’ superstar on the roster. There is a strong rumour going around that Cena is supposed to take his time off after Hell in a Cell and the exact reason for it has not been reported. This has sent the rumour mills into a frenzy due to the fact that a name as big as John Cena hasn't exactly stated his reason of absence.

Cena who is speculated to return only in December or January has been the subject for constant speculation. Cena has stated that he would be off TV, and all the live events for personal reasons and it would be a huge task for WWE to maintain the ratings which are already on a downward spiral. Cena would miss the European tour and a couple of PPVs during this time. It was speculated that he was taking a break to get married to Nikki Bella who he has been in a relationship with. But with Nikki Bella booked for the European tour, this seems highly unlikely.

It was also thought that Cena might take time off to address his injuries but that does not seem to be the case as Cena has been fully fit and wrestling every week. The only good thing what might happen is that younger talent getting more screen time and a push. Dean Ambrose seems to be the probable beneficiary as he has been booked in Cena’s place for a lot of live events. Fans would hope that Ambrose who is white hot and a crowd favourite be pushed to the main event status on RAW. The destiny of Cena’s championship hasn't been decided yet but fans would love to see Dean Ambrose with the belt again.

All of this would be only revealed in the coming weeks on RAW and at Hell in a Cell. Cena's opponent has not yet been decided at Hell in a Cell but whoever it will be, would benefit from it if the WWE decide to make Cena drop the belt before he takes time off.
