What's the story?

Former WWE World Champion Chris Jericho was able to fend off a "messed up guy" who was able to get onboard the Fozzy tour bus during a show in Canada.

In case you didn't know

Chris Jericho is one of WWE's most accomplished stars, being the company's fourth Grand Slam winner.

Outside of the company, Jericho has competed for New Japan Pro Wrestling, winning the company's IWGP Intercontinental Championship in June 2018.

Jericho is also an accomplished author and rockstar, touring regularly with his band Fozzy, where he provides the band's lead vocals.

The heart of the matter

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer recalled the story, describing the perpetrator as a "messed up guy" who was able to sneak aboard the bus.

"They got into a fight and the guy actually ended up with a broken collarbone because of the fight and then he gets kicked out."

Meltzer also said how Jericho himself got into the fray, eager to stop the intruder from escaping.

"Jericho gives him a spear and he's pounding on him from the mounted position... Jericho is on top of him and he's punching him out."

Despite the intruder's attempts to flee, he was quickly caught by the local authorities.

"He got away and the police came and the police chased him and the police ended up catching him so they did end up arresting him after the guy ran away."

What's next?

Jericho will defend his IWGP Intercontinental Championship at NJPW's Wrestle Kingdom event against former champion Tetsuya Naito.

Wrestle Kingdom 13 will take place January 4, 2019, at the Tokyo Dome, in Tokyo Japan, and will also see an IWGP Heavyweight Championship match between Kenny Omega and Hiroshi Tanahashi.
