Complete List of WWE Legends and Former Superstars Confirmed for WWE Evolution

Evolution will be huge!
Evolution will be huge!

Well, it's only a mater of days away.

On Sunday, October 28th, history will be made when Evolution takes place. The first ever all-women's WWE pay-per-view is set to emanate from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum when Uniondale, New York, hosts the historic event where over 50 female Superstars are set to feature on a card where only female Superstars compete.

Needless to say, such a monumental event calls for a celebration of women's wrestling and the progress that's been made - so we'll see the past, present and future of women's wrestling on the card as the historic event looks to tell the story of just how much wrestling has evolved over the years when it comes to the role women can play in the industry.

The card is already stacked, with WWE's Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships being defended on the show - with Ronda Rousey defending against Nikki Bella and Becky Lynch taking on Charlotte Flair in WWE's first ever Last Woman Standing Match.

Not only that, the NXT Women's Championship and the NXT UK Women's Championship are set to be defended and we'll see the culmination of the Mae Young Classic 2018 at the event, as well as a number one contender's Battle Royal, but one of the big questions is...

"What returning legends will we see on the card?"

Well, a fair few are already confirmed, and we're running through the list the keep you updated ahead of the event!

#1 Trish Stratus

Trish is back!
Trish is back!

Well, where else could we start? When you think of legendary female wrestlers, very few could argue that Trish Stratus tops the list.

The six-time Women's Champion looked every bit the star she was in her prime when she returned at the first ever Women's Royal Rumble, and her match at Evolution was the very first match announced for the event when WWE announced that Stratus would appear in a singles match against Alexa Bliss.

The WWE Hall of Famer, though, has actually gone on a run in WWE to promote the event and, while Stratus hasn't been in an official match since the Royal Rumble in January, she's undoubtedly been one of the highlights of RAW in recent weeks.

Trish Stratus hyped her match with Alexa Bliss over the past month, a move that saw Stratus' old rival Mickie James get involved, asking for her own match with Stratus - and which leads us on to the second confirmed legend...

#2 Lita

Lita will be at Evolution
Lita will be at Evolution

Lita was already confirmed to appear at Evolution, but WWE decided to kill two birds with one stone and make Trish Stratus vs Alexa Bliss that much bigger by adding Mickie James to the equation and turning it into a Tag Team Match - resulting in a huge ovation from the WWE Universe when Trish Stratus announced her old foe-turned-friend as her tag team partner for the clash.

The two Hall of Famers have made quite the impact on RAW in recent weeks and, with the pair playing such a monumental role in getting women's wrestling to the point where people took the in-ring competition seriously, there's no doubt the pair are appropriate additions to the card.

Lita, like Stratus, made her return to in-ring action at the first ever Women's Royal Rumble back in January, where she made us see exactly why we all loved her in the first place.

#3 Torrie Wilson

Torrie Wilson is confirmed to return!
Torrie Wilson is confirmed to return!

Well, she's one of the biggest names in female wrestling, and Torrie Wilson is another lady who received a huge pop at the first ever Women's Royal Rumble when she made her return.

Wilson looked incredible at the event and seemed like she hadn't missed a step, so it wasn't a huge surprise to learn she'd be one of the legendary names WWE would call on to add more star power and nostalgia to Evolution.

Torrie Wilson is confirmed to participate in the Evolution Battle Royal where the winner will receive a shot at either the Raw or SmackDown Women's Championship going forward - where she'll do battle with the likes of Asuka, Nia Jax, Tamina and Noami, among others.

Wilson even posted a hilarious reaction video in response to WWE announcing her in-ring return. Let's just say it looks like Wilson will be ready to take on any and all comers on October 28th.

#4 Beth Phoenix

The Glamazon will return
The Glamazon will return

Another WWE legend and the third Hall of Famer slated to return at Evolution is Beth Phoenix. While we haven't heard a great deal about the role the Glamazon will play at the monumental event, she was one of the first three names announced - being confirmed alongside Trish Stratus and Lita back when Evolution was announced.

Phoenix, though, will be taking a spot behind the commentary table as well as appearing on the kickoff show - both alongside Renee Young, with Michael Cole also joining the pair on commentary.

Beth Phoenix was another star who returned during the first ever Women's Royal Rumble, going head to head with Nia Jax to tease a definite "dream match" before having a very interesting moment involving her friend and the lady who inducted her into the Hall of Fame in Natalya.

#5 Ivory

Another Hall of Famer will be at Evolution

WWE Hall of Famer Ivory is scheduled to appear at the first ever all women's WWE pay-per-view. Ivory is a three-time WWE Women's Champion and boasts the unique story of making her debut alongside The Godfather, but having one of her most memorable runs alongside him in the faction Right To Censor.

The former Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling star joined the Hall of Fame just a few months ago in New Orleans. Moretti actually began her career in GLOW in 1986 under the name Tina Ferrari, the promotion which has seen a television series spawned from its origins, taking the world by storm with two seasons on Netflix.

WWE recently confirmed that Ivory will take part in the Battle Royal scheduled for the event where the winner will claim a shot at either the RAW or SmackDown Women's Championship at a later date.

#6 Molly Holly

Molly Holly is coming back!
Molly Holly is coming back!

Alongside Ivory, Molly Molly has also been confirmed to appear at WWE Evolution. Ivory was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by Molly Holly, so this will be an interesting reunion!

Holly had previously made her comeback at WWE's first ever Women's Royal Rumble and, much like the aforementioned legends, looked every bit as good as we all remembered.

Molly Holly is only the second name on the list not yet in the WWE Hall of Fame, but much like Torrie Wilson, she's such an immense fan favourite that the news is still huge, and there's no doubt the crowd will pop for Molly Holly, much like back in January.

The former two-time WWE Women's Champion and former Hardcore Champion is scheduled to return, like the lady she inducted into the Hall of Fame, at the Battle Royal.

#7 Alundra Blayze

Alundra Blayze will be at Evolution
Alundra Blayze will be at Evolution

WWE Hall of Famer Alundra Blayze, also known as Madusa, will be appearing at the WWE Evolution. The last time we saw Blayze on live WWE television was in a special appearance at WrestleMania 31 shortly after her Hall of Fame induction.

Alundra Blayze, real name Debrah Ann Miceli, did appear on an episode of WWE's Table for Three on the WWE Network, though, alongside two other names who will appear at Evolution in Ivory and Molly Holly.

Yet again, there is so far no word on the role the former WWF, WCW and AWA Women's Champion will play at the event. Blayze is currently the commissioner of Japanese promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom. Blayze is a former WCW Cruiserweight Champion and a three-time Women's Champion in WWE, then known as WWF, so there's no doubt the innovative star is well deserving of a spot on the pay-per-view, and it'll be very interesting to see what role she plays at the event,

#8 Michelle McCool

Michelle McCool will return!
Michelle McCool will return!

WWE Legend Michelle McCool was scheduled to return at SmackDown 1000, but we never saw the star on television. However, WWE has confirmed that McCool will return at Evolution - also participating in the Battle Royal.

For anyone unfamiliar with Michelle McCool, she was one of the most dominant women's wrestlers while active and was perhaps most prominent on the SmackDown brand. McCool won the WWE Divas Championship twice and the WWE Women's Championship twice - and was also Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Woman of the Year in 2010 and ranked number one on the list of the top 50 female wrestlers in the PWI Female 50 in the same year.

More recently, McCool has appeared on WWE television at ringside during her husband The Undertaker's WrestleMania 33 and 34 matches, and was honoured as part of a segment involving women who have contributed to the success of WWE at RAW 25 - but most shockingly was her return at the Royal Rumble where she scored the most eliminations in the match, with a total of five, before being eliminated by Natalya.

McCool had recently taken to social media to deliver a pretty strong hint that she was preparing for Evolution - posting a video where she's training in the ring, boasting that she's still got it and hashtagging Evolution.

I mean, not that anyone would ever doubt she's still got it after her performance earlier in the year during the first ever Women's Royal Rumble - but just in case you were wondering, you can watch the video below.

#9 Kelly Kelly

Barbie Blank is back!
Barbie Blank is back!

Well, Kelly Kelly may have left WWE in 2012, but there's no doubt she's still a huge fan favourite!

A point definitely proven when Kelly returned at the Royal Rumble earlier in the year, receiving a huge ovation. Kelly would be eliminated by Nia Jax. The former Divas Champion was also featured on RAW 25, being honoured as one of WWE's historic female stars.

Kelly Kelly's only title win in WWE came over Brie Bella in 2011, having won a fan vote on the Power To The People edition of RAW to get her shot at the title. Kelly would successfully defend her title against Bella and against Beth Phoenix before eventually dropping the title to The Glamazon.

The former Divas Champion is confirmed to compete in the Battle Royal at Evolution where the winner will receive a shot at either the WWE Raw Women's Championship or the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship.

#10 Maria Kanellis

Maria Kanellis returns to the ring
Maria Kanellis returns to the ring

We'll count this one as a bit of a bonus entrant. While Maria Kanellis can't really be counted as a former Superstar as she's still signed to WWE, it's been a LONG time since we've saw her in action - but Maria will be in the Battle Royal!

Since her return to WWE, Kanellis at Money In The Bank 2017, she has been paired with husband Mike, with Maria recently taking time off TV due to pregnancy. Kanellis, though, hasn't wrestled since her return to TV, even before pregnancy.

Maria Kanellis originally signed with WWE in 2004 after entering the Diva Search, making appearances at OVW, and working in more of a creative capacity with booking ideas, before being brought to Raw as a backstage interviewer and the host of KissCam.

By 2005, Maria was wrestling on Raw, and proved her toughness when one of her fillings was slapped out of her mouth during a match with Trish Stratus.

Toughness is something that would be prominent in her first stint in WWE as she competed against Kurt Angle in singles action, teamed with John Cena against Edge, and Lita and was also on the receiving end of a Stone Cold Stunner when she criticised Steve Austin's movie The Condemned. Kanellis went on to wrestle in ROH, Impact Wrestling, and even NJPW before she returned to WWE.

#11 Lilian Garcia

Lilian Garcia will return!
Lilian Garcia will return!

While Lilian Garcia isn't a former in-ring Superstar, she's undoubtedly a WWE legend - and what a nice touch for WWE to bring back one of the most legendary voices in wrestling for such a monumental show.

We've heard Lilian Garcia's voice introduce Superstars to us for the best part of 20 years, with the most recent occasion being at the first ever WrestleMania Women's Battle Royal just a few months ago, and it's always incredible to see Garcia back in WWE.

Lilian Garcia was full time with WWE from 1999-2009, before returning to WWE in 2011 before leaving in August 2016 to take care of her ailing father, who was battling two different types of cancer. Garcia's father sadly passed away on Christmas day 2016.

Garcia, though, has remained an incredibly important figure in wrestling, between her Chasing Glory podcast that puts Superstars in a very different light, usually taking both guest and listener through an emotional rollercoaster, as well as appearing on WWE for special events.
