CM Punk is rarely out of the news nowadays, but in recent weeks it has been because the former World Champion has been looking to make a return as a co-host of WWE Backstage when the company switches over to The FOX Network.
Punk's representative reportedly set up a meeting between Punk and FOX and he has since recorded test footage that went down well within the company. Now FOX only has to get WWE to agree to bring back one of their most controversial performers, which would then allow them to get the upperhand in the fight with AEW.
Punk is a smart businessman and if he's able to repair the relationship with WWE in the coming weeks ahead of the show, then there's no reason why he wouldn't be able to return to the ring for a one-off match at Crown Jewel.
Much like his career in UFC, Punk knows that he only has to have a short match and in the Middle East, he will make a lot more money than he would from something as big as an appearance at WWE's biggest show of the year, WrestleMania.
