WWE is a global organization. The company has a worldwide footprint, and there are fans of the Sports Entertainment juggernaut from all corners of the globe. As a result, there are many superstars who represent various countries in the world.

Ireland, for example, is represented by several superstars, including two in the Women's division. Former RAW & SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch has represented Ireland in WWE for around a decade now, with Lyra Valkyria being a more recent example.

The talented women have been seen together often, and some may wonder the extent of their relationship. While there are many fans who assume Lyra was initially trained by The Man, that is not the case. In fact, Lyra was training to wrestle while Lynch was coming up through the NXT system.

Despite Becky not being Lyra's trainer, they did eventually train together. A video package that was recently released by WWE showed a clip of The Man helping Valkyria back in 2018. The Man has served as a mentor of sorts for Lyra over the years.

That mentorship only became more prevalent once Lyra signed with World Wrestling Entertainment via the NXT UK brand. Today, she is a top star on NXT, which is proof that Becky's guidance has certainly helped.

Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch headlined the WWE NXT Halloween Havoc

Speaking of Lyra Valkyria and Becky Lynch, the mentee-mentor relationship came to a head at WWE NXT Halloween Havoc last night. Becky Lynch lost her coveted NXT Women's Championship against Lyra in the main event.

Prior to this bout, The Man had successfully defended the prize against Tiffany Stratton, Natalya, Tegan Nox, and Indi Hartwell. Her reign was high quality and exciting, but it surprisingly came to an end at Halloween Havoc.

After a hard-fought bout, The Man was pinned by her mentee. Valkyria, almost in disbelief herself, celebrated her victory over her mentor and a future Hall of Famer. Big Time Becks graciously showed Lyra respect post-match.

This bout was the first time that the two Irish women battled in a WWE ring. Beyond that, it was also the first time they clashed for a title. Needless to say, it was also the first time two Irish women main-evented a World Wrestling Entertainment-produced show.

It remains to be seen where the two stars go from here. Jade Cargill was shown watching the bout, which could potentially hint at what is probably going to come next. Could she target Becky? Could Jade attempt to win the NXT Women's Championship? For now, fans will have to wait to find out.
