What
Eric Bischoff has his say about Hulk Hogan's situation with the WWE

What’s the story?

Former WCW president and WWE star Eric Bischoff recently spoke with WrestlingInc.com owner Raj Giri about Hulk Hogan possibly ever returning to WWE and if an NWO angle with the Bullet Club would work.

In case you didn’t know…

Other than casual autograph appearances in his beach shop, Hulk Hogan hasn't found much work in wrestling since he parted ways with WWE in 2015 over the leaked tape of his racial remarks.

However, at one point he did apparently come close to making a deal with NJPW to join the Bullet Club. The details here are spotty at best but apparently NJPW got cold feet and decided that if Hogan did come in under what would have been a non-commitment deal, he would jump back to the WWE at the first opportunity he would get.

The heart of the matter

While speaking to Raj, Eric Bischoff said he can't predict the future, but he believes eventually Hogan will be welcomed back to the company.

"Do I see it changing? Yeah, I do. I don't know when, I don't know how, I don't have any inside information. When he and I talk, we don't talk about that. But my gut tells me, you know as the saying goes, time heals all wounds. Hulk will always be a part of sports entertainment/professional wrestling history, and there's nothing that's gonna change that. His relationship with the WWE, whether it's official or unofficial, is something that can't really be erased. So I think when time heals the wounds, I think it's inevitable that they'll come back together again. But there's charred feelings on both sides of that equation."

While talking about he and other members of the NWO participating in an angle with the Bullet Club, Eric said it could bring a lot of notoriety, a lot of eyeballs, a lot of press, and a lot of credibility, but a large portion of Bullet Club fans would still not want to see it.

What’s next?

Hulk Hogan said just a few days ago that he would still love to return to WWE and still believes that one day it will happen. While the WWE still remains stern on their stand with Hogan, Hulkamania may return to the promotion in the foreseeable future.

Author’s take

To be honest I kind of dug the idea of Hogan joining the Bullet Club. The Club is obviously heavily inspired by the NWO and Hogan is the father of the NWO, so in my opinion, it would have been like hand in glove. That said, I would love to see Hogan return to the WWE one day also.
