This past week, the fans saw a quite few superstars come back to WWE on Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown, and most importantly, Bad Blood. Their return is set to create new angles to the ongoing storylines and set the stage for future matches either on the main shows or at premium live events.
Still, not all the returning WWE Superstars shined in their return, and with that in mind, we take a look at three superstars who were on the winning side in their comeback and three who were on the losing side.
#3. Loser - AJ Styles
WWE has found its new Undertaker? WWE Hall of Famer thinks so!
Styles returned to SmackDown on Friday, nearly four months after his last appearance at Clash at the Castle PLE, and had a confrontation with Carmelo Hayes.
LA Knight interfered in their face-off and told Carmelo Hayes that if he could beat The Phenomenal One, he would get a shot at the United States Championship.
During the match, AJ Styles seemingly suffered an ankle injury that forced him to leave the ring, with Hayes claiming the victory via injury stoppage. It is unclear how serious the injury was and how much time Styles, who returned as a face, will miss again.
#3. Winner - Jimmy Uso
He made his return at the Bad Blood PLE after nearly six months out and reunited with Roman Reigns against Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline. His return helped The Original Tribal Chief and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to defeat Solo and Jacob Fatu.
Jimmy Uso had a face turn and his return adds more fuel to the Bloodline civil war, which is expected to intensify going forward, heading into Crown Jewel and Survivor Series: WarGames in November.
#2. Loser - Goldberg
Goldberg was in attendance at Bad Blood and had a confrontation with the reigning World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. It was more than two years since the WWE legend last appeared either on RAW and SmackDown or a premium live event.
Still, he was embarrassed by Gunther, whose comments forced Goldberg to jump the barricade and attempt to assault The Ring General. However, security interfered, and it is a no-brainer that Goldberg will look to bounce back, setting the stage for a match with Gunther down the line.
#2. Winner - Seth Rollins
After being out for eight weeks due to injuries caused by Bronson Reed's brutal attack, Seth Rollins made his return to Monday Night RAW last week and assaulted Reed, helping Braun Strowman win the Last Monster Standing Match.
Reed was the one that injured Rollins back in early August, so The Visionary took his revenge and is now ready for a match with Bronson Reed before shifting his attention to CM Punk.
#1. Loser - Raquel Rodriguez
After more than six months, Raquel Rodriguez showed up in WWE. She interfered in the title match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, assaulting Mami and helping Liv retain her Women's World Championship.
Her return changes the landscape, as she sided with Morgan, and will now re-ignite her feud with Rhea Ripley, who will be out for revenge after missing another chance to re-claim the Women's World Championship.
#1. Winner - The Rock
The Rock came back after six months and targeted both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. The Final Boss returned as a heel again and his comeback will certainly spice up the Bloodline civil war.
The WWE legend stared down both Reigns and Rhodes and it remains to be seen if the WWE Universe will see him compete at Crown Jewel or Survivor Series: WarGames. His comeback, though, shifts the momentum for The Bloodline, as he is expected to take over the faction.
