To promote the Royal Rumble pay-per-view coming our way this weekend, the kind folks at WWE India and SONY invited Sportskeeda to be part of a media call. The special guest this time was none other than the Scottish Psychopath- Drew McIntyre.
Despite his scary demeanour in the ring, McIntyre was calm and composed as he fielded questions from media outlets across the world. You can catch him competing in the Royal Rumble pay-per-view only on SONY TEN 1 and SONY TEN 1 HD if you're from India.
Here's a glimpse of our chat.
You obviously have history with EC3 from elsewhere. How do you think he will do in the main roster?
McIntyre: Oh he's going to be amazing. Actually, I'm very excited to see him. He joined NXT. Took a similar path as myself. I'm very proud of him. He took advantage of the opportunity and remade himself. He came to NXT and made an Impact. Now he's on RAW and SmackDown to show what he's truly about.
Who do you want to face at WrestleMania 35?
McIntyre: The Universal Champion. Whoever it is I don't care. Win the Royal Rumble. Face the Universal Champion. And then take him down.
You had a chance to face Kurt Angle on RAW. How did it feel to gain such a significant victory over him?
McIntyre: To wrestle Kurt Angle on RAW and have the match we had, it wasn't pretty. I can't say I'm necessarily proud of it. But I made Kurt tap to the ankle lock, so I am proud of it.
