This week's WWE SmackDown Live was live from the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, PA. WWE Champion Daniel Bryan came out to kick off the show.
Daniel Bryan explained why he remained silent last week when McMahon replaced Kofi Kingston. Kevin Owens interrupted him and explained why he chose to face Bryan after his return. Rowan confronted him but Owens sent him out. Bryan and KO began the brawl before Rowan returned to the ring and slammed Owens down.
Next, on SmackDown Live, The Miz came out along with his tag team partner, Shane McMahon to face Jey Uso. Both teams had a tense argument before the match started as The Usos tried to attack them before the match. The Miz beat Jey Uso when he hit him with a Skull Crushing Finale.
R-Truth came out next for the United States Championship Open Challenge. Samoa Joe, Andrade and Rey Mysterio came out to accept the challenge. R-Truth then decided to defend his title against all three of them.
R-Truth defended his US Title in a Fatal-4 way match against Samoa Joe, Andrade and Rey Mysterio. After some entertaining action, Samoa Joe pinned Andrade to become the New United States Champion.
Next, on SmackDown Live, Aleister Black and Ricochet came out to face the Bar in a tag-team match. After some amazing action, they won the match when Ricochet hit a 630 on Cesaro. After the match, Rusev and Nakamura attacked them from behind before the Hardy Boyz made the save. Mandy Rose came out next to face Naomi and defeated her quickly.
Kevin Owens came out next to face Rowan in a singles match. Owens beat him via disqualification when Daniel Bryan attacked Owens outside the ring. Bryan and Rowan teamed up to attacked Owens before Mustafa Ali came out to save Owens. Bryan caught Ali with the knee and nearly stomped his head into oblivion, but KO made the save and hit the stunner on Bryan.
In the main event of this week's SmackDown Live, Charlotte Flair came out to call out Becky Lynch. Becky Lynch came out and said that she can beat her with one good leg just like she did at Royal Rumble. Charlotte Flair attacked Becky in frustration but Lynch countered and locked Flair in a disarmer.
