Fantasy Booking: Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles at WWE Money in the Bank

Stomped Phenomenally
Stomped Phenomenally

WWE Money In The Bank is fast approaching, and the company did everything in its power to raise the stakes of the roster for the red and blue brand. With the recent changes, there are few things that shall happen which involves rivalries and also increase in ratings. While ratings are not in WWE's control, the rivalries and storylines definitely are, and if these are worked well, the ratings will see a good rise.

The company did a great job by bringing in AJ Styles to the Raw brand and team him with the Shield brothers Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. This sounded like a great way to bring babyfaces together, but it would be a great way to start a feud between two in-ring geniuses. With just four weeks to go for the MITB show, here's how the company can build up the match and hype the event:

#5 Lay Down The Challenge (22-Apr-2019)

I'm coming for you
I'm coming for you

Seth Rollins starts his promo before he gets interrupted by AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One calls The Architect on his in-ring skills and then states he wishes to fight for the Universal Championship.

This wouldn't be taken kindly by the heels, namely, Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley, Sami Zayn, and we would see an interruption by them. In response to the interference, a fatal four-way match would be set wherein Styles would win the match clean. As a mark of respect, Seth Rollins comes to the ring and congratulate the challenger. This would be the final match as Raw goes off the air.

It would get the world talking if Styles becomes a heel and attacks Rollins, or vice-versa. This storyline has a lot riding on it, especially the fact that Seth and AJ have all the skills in the ring and on the mic to build the promo and the match heading into Money In The Bank.

#4 Verbal Attacks Begin (29-Apr-2019)

Who's house is it?
Who's house is it?

AJ Styles and Seth Rollins are experts at cutting promos, and they will bring the house down by trash talking their opponents. This will be amazing as the two can talk and also ensure that the action is in a limited capacity to entice fans for the big match at Money In The Bank.

With so much action on the horizon, these two can trash talk to each other and share details about their actions in the past. A topic around Seth Rollins' betrayal to The Shield and AJ Styles' attack on his opponents as a heel will be a great way to build up this story in the process.

There is nothing better than seeing two masters of the game tear the house down verbally before they take each other down with a fight of their own between the ropes in two weeks.

#3 AJ Styles takes a dig at Seth Rollins (06-May-2019)

The promo that AJ Styles built
The promo that AJ Styles built

Seth Rollins is the master in the ring and also on the mic, as is AJ Styles, but as they say, the champion should have the last word, and so it would be great to see Seth Rollins be on the receiving end of some roast by the challenger. While a lot of us would want some action, I for one would want it to happen on the next and final episode before Money In The Bank.

This would be a great verbal fight, and it would be great if AJ Styles gets a shot from the champion as Raw goes off the air. Truth be told, there's nothing more rewarding than two great in-ring performers not only fight inside but also outside the ring. This action outside the ring will pave the way for better in-ring action next week, and that is all that the fans want.

#2 Seth Rollins lauds his actions last week (13-May-2019)

Burned it down
Burned it down

We all saw what Seth Rollins did before and during his match with The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 35. If this is a sign of things to come, and his character is definitely going to turn heel, we may see him laud his actions on the challenger last week.

During his promo, Styles' music hits and in comes the performer that would be on the receiving end of more fan support. A babyface Styles vs a heel Rollins has blockbuster written all over it, and this would be the right way to hype up this match.

A fight inside the ring would be the icing on the cake, as more locker room and officials come to the ring to separate them, and that would be the start of something phenomenal on Sunday. There is nothing better than a promo of this magnitude close the show.

#1 Seth Rollins retains the title (19-May-2019)

And still your WWE Universal Champion, Seth Rollins
And still your WWE Universal Champion, Seth Rollins

It's no secret that the company might not let the new champion lose the title so quickly. With his title win just one month old, the company would do everything to build him as the credible champion. In the process, the company would also keep AJ Styles strong, and it would be a great idea if the challenger doesn't get pinned.

Instead, if the company brings across some interference and the match ends with neither the champion or challenger taking the pin, the match will be amazing.

While some of us may not like the decision, truth be told, an addition of a credible opponent like Drew McIntyre will not only raise the stakes of the championship but also storyline as the company heads towards the biggest party of the summer, SummerSlam.

A quality match, and a new champion at SummerSlam, will be a win-win for the company.
