#3 Asuka loses again
It's no secret that WWE has seemingly given up on Asuka lately, especially since she lost to Charlotte at WrestleMania 34 and then followed that up with a loss in tag team action on Smackdown Live. Fans should pretty much expect that trend to continue when The Empress of Tomorrow takes on Carmella at MITB.
Not only does a loss for Asuka make sense due to the fact that WWE is heavily invested in Carmella as the top women's star on Smackdown Live right now, but also previous backstage reports indicate that WWE doesn't see Asuka as a top star right now. With that being said, expect Asuka to get screwed out of the win and maybe get a rematch down the line.
In the end, it doesn't make sense for WWE to want to push Asuka right now after pumping the breaks on her previous push only a few months ago. The feud between Carmella and Asuka also has a minimalist build to it right now, which is a good indicator that WWE just wants the match to happen in order to keep building heat and credibility for Carmella.
