Trish Stratus and Lita could have made great number 1 contenders

Sasha Banks and Bayley are set to defend their Women's Tag-Team Championships in a fatal 4-way match at WrestleMania, and while there is a very strong chance that will turn out to be an excellent encounter, it's hard to shake the idea that the WWE has missed a golden opportunity with this one.

While there is nothing to suggest that Trish Stratus and Lita would be willing to return to the ring one more time at Mania, the fact that they have made recent appearances on WWE television and that they also competed at Evolution suggests that they would, at the very least, be open to the idea.

On such a historic night for women's wrestling, this match could have been viewed as a passing of the torch moment to a more casual WWE fanbase, and could also have set the tone for the rest of the night quite nicely.
