The Universal Title, WWE — Will Lesnar not competing at Summerslam hurt the legitimacy of The Universal Title?

Another thing that will be negatively affected by all this is The Universal title itself. The history of the title started out red hot when Finn Balor defeated Seth Rollins at Summerslam two years ago, but the titles reputation has been repeatedly bogged down by being given to part time champions and being off television for large amounts of time.

In fact, WWE didn't even have a Universal Title match at Backlash earlier this year and also didn't schedule one for Money in The Bank either. With that being said, that's a poor way to build up the prestige of a title and an even worse way to treat what is supposed to be Monday Night
