Let's be honest here.
There are only two reasons why Seth Rollins is as popular as he is and while one of them is his success on the indy scene, the other one is the fact that he was apart of one of the most dominant factions in WWE. Now none of this means that Rollins wasn't deserving of the praise or the eventual spot in The Shield, but imagine if it never happened!
Think about it! Rollins could have still had all the praise in the world from his time on the indies and it wouldn't have mattered if he wasn't a part of The Shield. Sure, WWE would have roped him into a storyline in some other way and maybe done something else with him, but he definitely wouldn't be on the white hot run he is on now.
Furthermore, he would have never been hand picked by Triple H to betray The Shield, would have never joined the Authority, won the Money in the Bank briefcase or won the title. In the end, all of Rollins's accomplishments are because of his early success in The Shield, which kind of makes him overrated compared to people who had to find success with less.
