Five Superstars That Will Be Negatively Affected By Baron Corbin Being Removed From Power

Baron Corbin may have just ruined a lot of WWE careers in one night.
Baron Corbin may have just ruined a lot of WWE careers in one night.

Baron Corbin is finally out of power on Monday Night Raw and while the WWE Universe is absolutely ecstatic about the turn of events, there are quite a few people that aren't happy about it at all. In fact, many superstars are going to be negatively affected over this outcome and it could have cataclysmic effects on the WWE

Of course many are going to chalk that up to non nonsensical hyperbole and think that Baron Corbin being removed from power is a great thing, but what about the superstars that followed him during his run as GM? What does the future hold for them now the authority storyline is over and they aren't aligned together anymore?

WIth that being said and Baron Corbin's reign of terror finally over, here are five people that will be negatively affected by Corbin's removal from power. As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and be sure to let us know if you believe others will be negatively affected by WWE's latest move

#6 Alexa Bliss

Is Alexa Bliss still the General manager of The Raw women's division?
Is Alexa Bliss still the General manager of The Raw women's division?

Where Does Alexa Bliss stand after all this?

While Bliss was put in charge of the Women's division by Baron Corbin over a month ago, Corbin's removal from power on The December 17th episode of Raw seems to leave Bliss's role in doubt. In fact, not only has Bliss not been seen since Corbin's outing as General Manager, but WWE hasn't addressed her absence either.

If nothing else, that means WWE wants to get her and themselves as far away from those dull talking segments as possible and let fans forget she was in control of the women's division.

Of course, while that might be a good thing since Bliss is currently recovering from a severe concussion, its disappointing that WWE isn't going forward with giving her TV time.

#5 Bobby Lashley

Looks like its back to the midcard for Bobby Lashley,
Looks like its back to the midcard for Bobby Lashley,

Let's be honest here.

Without Baron Corbin, Bobby Lashley is a man with no storyline direction, no personality and a manager that looks like a small child. If we are being even more honest, fans hate the "Lashley" chants Lio Rush belts out during every match, and watching Lashley show off his glutes is quite disturbing

Unfortunately for Lashley, he has now gone from being friends with the person in power to being completely powerless. Beyond that, he is in now stuck in a midcard feud with Elias, who is getting over better than Lashley could ever dream. If nothing else, it's a nightmare scenario for Lashley now and it all stems from Corbin's ousting.

In the end, maybe the two will team up again and form their own stable, but WWE seems pretty intent on letting Corbin slide down the card for a while. Of course that's probably what everyone wants to happen, especially after weeks of Corbin's corruption, but one has to wonder if these superstars deserve this.

#4 Drew McIntyre

Is Drew McIntyre's career in jeopardy after Baron Corbin's ousting from power?
Is Drew McIntyre's career in jeopardy after Baron Corbin's ousting from power?

Whether The WWE Universe wants to admit it or not, things are not looking good for Drew McIntyre after Baron Corbin was removed from power Monday Night. Not only is that evident by the loss that McIntyre look at TLC to Finn Balor, but also by the lackluster feud with Ziggler and Balor that he now finds himself in.

McIntyre would have done so much better if WWE continued to have McIntyre act as Corbin's henchmen. At least that way, he could continue to come across as this cold hearted mercenary, instead of the beatable midcard star he has become. Unfortunately for McIntyre, it looks like its going to stay that way for quite awhile now.

In the end, maybe WWE will have plans for McIntyre going forward, but they probably pale in comparison to what WWE could have done with the mercenary vibe they had going for McIntyre with Corbin.

In fact, Corbin being ousted from power pretty much kills off the whole persona McIntyre had going and leaves him lost in the midcard with others just like him.

#3 Baron Corbin

Where does Baron Corbin go from here?
Where does Baron Corbin go from here?

It's no secret that no one is going to lose more than Baron Corbin will after being ousted as Raw General Manager, but just think about how far down the card this will actually move him down. Beyond that, think about how long it will take for him to regain his footing on the Raw roster after being removed from power.

In all honesty, having Corbin in an authority role was probably the best thing for his career. It allowed him to act on his natural prickishness and helped build young babyfaces that could take him on. Of course the execution of the storyline was horrible and got worse every week, but Corbin played the role perfectly.

With all that in mind and WWE now doing what the fans want, its very likely that Corbin becomes an afterthought for at least the foreseeable future. Maybe WWE can continue to use him in a joke fodder role and maybe even dangle the GM job above his head a few more times, but there really isn't much they can do beyond that.

#2 Finn Balor

Its disappointing that Finn Balor versus Baron Corbin never reached its rightful ending.
Its disappointing that Finn Balor versus Baron Corbin never reached its rightful ending.

What's next for Finn Balor?

While that question would have been pretty straight forward had Baron Corbin still been in power and Balor still needed a villain to overcome, the question is now shrouded in mystery thanks to Corbin's ousting on Raw. Unfortunately for Balor, he was seemingly put in a feud with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre, which doesn't look good for him.

With that being said however, if the authority storyline was still around, Balor would still have a solid storyline to work with and could even have risen to the top of the card if done right. Interestingly enough however, WWE has decided to go in a different direction and instead of making Balor look like a bad ass hero, he looks like the midcarder he always did.

If we're being honest, the authority storyline was helping Finn Balor in ways that fans couldn't even imagine and he would have benefited from it if it wasn't for it ending prematurely. Furthermore, Balor now finds himself with a very uncertain future and whether fans want to admit it or not, Corbin being ousted is to blame.

#1 Brock Lesnar

How much longer will Brock Lesnar be Universal champion?
How much longer will Brock Lesnar be Universal champion?

Believe it or not, Brock Lesnar might not be champion right now if it wasn't for Baron Corbin. In fact, it was Corbin who ambushed Bruan Strowman and helped Brock Lesnar gain the upper hand on him to win the match. Ideally, that should mean Lesnar's win is ruled invalid and his title vacated thanks to the interference

Of course none of that will probably happen, but not doing so seriously hurts the legitimacy of the belt and creates a situation where Brock Lesnar is once again champion when he shouldn't be. Beyond that, Lesnar now has to deal with Strowman alone at The Royal Rumble, which could be difficult thanks to the authority now being on the fan's side.

With that being said and fans not wanting a part time champion anymore, its very likely that Lesnar will lose the title sooner rather than later, which is another big way Corbin's exit will impact the Raw roster.

In the end however, Lesnar could still power through all this to keep the title for quite a while, but if it's not what the fans want, there's probably not much chance that it will happen.
