How will WWE make the superstar shakeup meaningful?

This whole superstar shakeup means absolutely nothing if WWE doesn't commit to making each brand different. It also means nothing if WWE doesn't go by the rules that they have set forth in previous years, which limits the amount of superstars appearing on both Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live.

While The Women's tag team titles and maybe even the women's main titles can get a pass on this, especially since it would give Fox Sports access to the entire women's division come October, having the shakeup and then letting superstars show up on each show makes no sense. It also makes the point of the brand split meaningless.

With that being said and WWE seemingly doing this a lot lately, they need to find their boundaries and stick to it. That means no random appearances, no out of nowhere title unification and only do brand warfare if there is a overarching storyline behind it all. If not, the brand split is pointless and every superstar should just appear on both shows.
