5 Ways the WWE could book Paige

Paige is unique and adds to the depth of the Women’s Division

It has been a quiet 2016 for Paige compared to the previous two years she has had. The former Divas Champion has all but dropped from the scene since she was last seen on Raw teaming with Sasha Banks over a month ago. Between Total Divas and WWE Films commitments, Paige has kept herself pretty busy after all.

After starting off the year with an injury, Paige soon found herself teaming with the Total Divas cast at the WrestleMania 32 kick off show. After the movie commitments have kicked in, and while fans don’t want to say Paige is an afterthought (which she certainly is not), the commotion with WWE going forward with its new era may make it look as if Paige’s best days may be behind her. It’s too soon, and hopefully that is not the case. Paige has plenty of potential ahead of her.

But when she is done with those movie commitments, what is next for Paige? She was drafted to Raw in the brand extension, which the WWE Women’s Championship is exclusive to.

She’s no stranger to Championships, so perhaps a reign with the Women’s Championship isn’t out of the question. There are plenty of possibilities for Paige to make a bigger impact when she does return to Raw full time. So what are some booking options for the Anti-Diva? Let’s look.

A strong comeback will make fans take Paige more seriously

5. Starting at the bottom, starting afresh

With this new era, Paige can start fresh and refocus on the Women’s Division. She is still young and has many years ahead of her should she take care of herself. If anyone needed a redemption angle, it is indeed Paige.

This way, Paige can use her skill to remind the WWE Universe that she still has what it takes and not to dismiss her when it comes to the Women’s Division. A slow build to the Women’s Championship will indeed be a good thing.

Reigniting their feud has some possibilities

4. Rekindling the feud with Charlotte

These two ladies have plenty of history dating back to their NXT days. With Brooke on Charlotte’s side perhaps it would be a good idea to stay on Banks’ good side and continue the common goal of putting the troublesome two in their place. However once Charlotte and Banks are done with their feud, perhaps there could be another program in store for her and Paige. Or…

This feud would be fresh and could rival Trish v. Lita

3. Feud with Sasha Banks

For me, I wouldn’t want Paige chasing the gold just yet. However, a feud with Banks as Women’s Champion could be a good program leading into Survivor Series. Obviously Banks has been chosen as the company’s female face, and Charlotte is the division’s top heel.

Paige can rival Charlotte in that department. Paige has great heel tendencies, and this would serve her well in a feud with Banks. While I can see the team break up a ’la Natalya and Becky Lynch, I could see Paige voice her frustrations and desire to be at the top of the mountain once more. This has great potential to be the next Trish Stratus v. Lita in terms of iconic feuds. Yea, I said it.

Nia Jax v. Paige could work out

2. Feud with Nia Jax

This program would be a good start up with both women. WWE is booking Jax as a monster right now, and Paige could be her first real test since coming onto the main roster. Paige has a lot of heart, and that would be key in this storyline (think Gail Kim and Awesome Kong). This could be a fun and a great feud if applied correctly.

A dream feud could be a possibility

1. Standing up to Stephanie McMahon

It has been quite some time since the Billion Dollar Princess has had a real challenge in the squared circle. Paige is an outcast, and Stephanie is the type of person who would prey on that and single the former Divas Champion out. I see a game of wit and intensity, as both women have sharp tongues. That wouldn’t be bad either for Paige, and it would have me tuning into Raw to see Stephanie get hers.
