WWE News: Kurt Angle talks about his career highlights

Angle is a 6 time World Champion in the WWE

As reported by wrestlinginc.com, the Olympic Gold Medalist and former World Champion in pro-wrestling, Kurt Angle, was interviewed by The News-Democrat. The highlights from that interview are provided below :

About the single greatest achievement in his wrestling career :

"I get asked that question quite often. What was the single greatest achievement of my career? Was it winning the WWE title? Was it winning the TNA heavyweight championship? No, it was winning the Olympic Gold medal. It defined my career. It defined my life. Aside from being a dad four times with a fifth one on the way, it's the highlight."

The reason behind this time-off from wrestling :

"Wrestling professionally is a great life, but it's also a very grueling and demanding lifestyle we as wrestlers go through. I mean we're on the road constantly, doing between 250 to 300 shows each year.

Hitting the mat as much as we do, it takes its toll on us physically. That's why I said, I'm taking this year off to let my body rest and heal."

There are rumours which indicate that a former SmackDown General manager will be returning on this week’s edition of RAW.

And as Angle served as the general manager of SmackDown for a brief span of time in 2004, this has made some fans believe that he may be returning to WWE this week, although Vince Guerrero is a more realistic option.
