#3 Mainstream attention

Another thing The WWE Universe needs to be honest about is the fact that Brock Lesnar as Universal champion brings about a certain kind of mainstream attention. Unfortunately for fans, WWE seems to value that mainstream attention a lot more than they probably should and will continue to do so until the well runs dry.
With that being said however, its impossible to deny that Lesnar's amateur wrestling background and subsequent UFC career, yields a certain level of mainstream attention from media companies that helps WWE get its product out there to more viewers. If nothing else, Lesnar is one of the only reasons why casual sports fans know about pro wrestling right now.

Of course, that's probably not the way fans want it to be and they probably also want Rollins as their new champion, but The Kingslayer has no mainstream appeal to him, which will be hard to work with. Beyond that, Lesnar is reportedly on the cusps of returning to UFC at some point, thus opening the door to cross promotion between WWE and UFC.
