#1 Fox Sports deal

Fox Sports is offering WWE a lot of money to air their content on the popular sports network and the company is going to need to bring its A game in order to make the partnership last. In fact, WWE is reportedly already under pressure from Fox to make the company's content edgier and that will likely involve Lesnar.
Beyond that, there were hints dropped this week that Lesnar would likely be making the jump from Monday Night Raw to Smackdown Live, which also means that The Beast is in the company's long term plans. If nothing else, Lesnar brings instant legitimacy WWE's programming on Fox and is one of the big stars that the broadcast network will expect when Smackdown Live airs in October.

With all that in mind, Lesnar losing the title so close to moving to Smackdown Live doesn't make sense and will only diminish his star power heading into the partnership. Unfortunately for The WWE, that's not something they can really afford to do at this point in time and need to keep Lesnar's momentum rolling for as long as possible.
