What’s the story?

As per SquaredCircleSirens, Diamante underwent surgery on the ACL of her left knee last week.

The GFW star is expected to stay on the shelf for the rest of the 2017 calendar year.

In case you didn’t know…

Diamante, whose real name is Priscilla Zuniga, performs for GFW as part of the Latin American Xchange (LAX).

The 27-year-old hurt her knee during a Tag Team Championship match in July of this year, and has been out of action since.

The heart of the matter

Diamante hurt her left knee after an awkward sequence during a GFW taping back in July and was seen limping after LAX’s Tag Team match.

The young wrestler of Cuban descent is said to have started her post-surgery rehab, setting forth on the road to recovery after going under the knife last week to repair her left ACL.

If one is to believe the rumblings in the professional wrestling community, the LAX member is likely to miss the rest of this year, owing to the injury.

What’s next?

Fans can expect Diamante to stage an in-ring comeback early next year.

Author’s take

Diamante has a ton of potential and was slowly developing into a recognizable face as part of LAX. She is young, explosive, athletic and has the look down to a T; every single aspect pointing towards her becoming GFW’s next big star.

Her injury is truly an unfortunate happening, but when one engages in a high-risk contact-sport such as professional wrestling, injuries come with the territory.

Nevertheless, a true champion is one that bounces back from setbacks. Here’s hoping Ms. Priscilla Zuniga makes a quick and speedy recovery.
