From The Rumor Mill: WWE tease new name for Bray Wyatt at WWE live event

Could Wyatt be ready to debut a new name?
Could Wyatt be ready to debut a new name?

What's the story?

Bray Wyatt was seemingly deleted by Matt Hardy at the end of The Ultimate Deletion last week on Raw, but he appeared at WWE's live events over the weekend where it seems that Hardy teased a new name for the former WWE Champion.

In case you didn't know...

Wyatt has been falling through the ranks in WWE over the past year and it was thought that the only thing that could save him was a return to SmackDown Live. Wyatt and Hardy have been feuding for a while now and finally, it came to ahead last week as The Ultimate Deletion was screened.

Wyatt lost the match and was then pushed into the Lake Of Reincarnation, where it seemed that he would then be repackaged by the company since it seemed like there was no way that WWE could continue the feud between Wyatt and Hardy moving forward.

The heart of the matter

As part of WWE's live events this weekend, Wyatt and Hardy were once again seen face to face and whilst Wyatt's persona hasn't actually changed yet, Hardy did hint that it was about to.

At the WWE live event in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada on Friday night Hardy hinted that his character and persona were about to change, something that he has been doing over the past few days and even referred to the former leader of the Wyatt Family as "Woken Wyatt."

Even though there has been no change since Wyatt returned from the Lake of Reincarnation, it could be a slow process much like Jeff Hardy's change in Brother Nero from his days in Impact Wrestling. Incredibly, the segment ended with Hardy and Wyatt hugging, which has also teased an alliance between the two stars.

What's next?

It will be interesting to see if Wyatt makes an appearance on Raw tonight alongside Matt Hardy with WrestleMania now just under two weeks away.

Author's take

WWE seems to be slow-burning this feud and a build up to a match at WrestleMania or even a turn for Wyatt could be interesting if it is booked right over the next few weeks. It's great that there is so much focus on these guys right now, but WWE need to be able to keep it creative moving forward.
