Big things are in store for Mandy Rose
Big things are in store for Mandy Rose

What's the story?

Mandy Rose made her main roster debut as a member of Absolution weeks before the Women's Royal Rumble. She was drafted to SmackDown Live as part of the Superstar Shake-Up, not long ago.

According to James McKenna and Cageside Seats, WWE has huge plans for the gorgeous bombshell. From the looks of it, she has now taken up the Emmalina gimmick that did not work out with Emma.

In case you didn't know...

In late 2016, it was teased that former WWE Superstar Emma would transform into Emmalina, forsaking her tough girl persona for a glamour girl gimmick. The vignettes would continue for weeks on end until Emmalina came out and announced that she would be reverting to the Emma persona once again.

Emma was released from her WWE contract in late 2017. She has since returned to the independent circuit.

The heart of the matter

Emma never seemed keen on portraying the Emmalina character during her WWE run. Sources indicate that current plans are for Mandy Rose to take it up, and receive a push in this very role.

Rose has seemed far more receptive to the role from the looks of it, and McKenna indicates that the clearest indication of Rose being the new Emmalina comes from the similarity in the entrances of the two WWE superstars.

What's next?

It remains to be seen if Mandy Rose will be pushed as a singles superstar in coming weeks. Paige booked Rose and Deville in a MITB qualifier triple threat match against one another leading to friction between the two women. Will this lead to discord and dissolution going forward?

Author's take

I like Mandy Rose. She certainly has the look and has been improving quite steadily as a performer since she was called up to the WWE main roster.

I'm intrigued to see how far she actually goes...
