From the WWE Rumor Mill: Details on conditions surrounding Paige's RAW return

What’s the story?

As we’d previously reported, the WWE has removed Paige from its events following her injury at the hands of Sasha Banks.

Nevertheless, per PWInsider, Paige will likely appear on RAW tonight, but may not compete.

In case you didn’t know…

Paige recently competed in a 6-Woman Tag Team Match at a RAW-branded live event.

During the matchup, the former WWE Divas Champion was at the receiving end of a nasty kick from Sasha Banks which had her writhing in pain and relatively immobilized for a few seconds.

The heart of the matter

Nevertheless, Paige was tended to by the WWE medical team at the house show and walked to the back with their assistance. The WWE subsequently removed Paige from the events which followed and is yet to comment on her comeback status.

It’s now being revealed that Paige will indeed be at tonight’s tapings of RAW from Miami, Florida.

Regardless, it’s not known as to whether or not Paige will be permitted to compete tonight. It’s likely that the Anti-Diva would be evaluated backstage at the RAW tapings tonight.

What’s next?

Fans can expect Paige to appear tonight on the January 1st edition of Monday Night RAW. The vast majority of professional wrestling experts believe that she’ll not compete and risk accentuating her injury this close to the first ever All-Women’s Royal Rumble match that takes place later this month.

Author’s take

Paige is talent and entertainment personified. But with that being said, the string of unfortunate injuries she’s suffered over the past couple of years has been disheartening.

Her injury at the hands of Banks was a freak happening, and Paige was, in fact, lucky to get away with nothing more than a possible stinger.
