From the WWE Rumor Mill: Dudley Boyz, Ivory and Goldberg amongst names for 2018 WWE Hall of Fame

What's the story?

After news of Vince McMahon possibly bringing back the XFL came to light, the same Twitter user who broke the news, Brad Shepard, has shared a list of all the inductees for the 2018 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Shepard tweeted that we would see one female wrestler included in the list with Kid Rock being the celebrity inductee.

In case you didn't know...

The Hall of Fame ceremony started in 1994 and has become one of the biggest events in the WWE calendar.

Stars from a number of industries grace the show which is now held just a couple of days prior to WrestleMania.

The heart of the matter

Shepard in his tweet stated that Goldberg, Bam Bam Bigelow, Ivory, the Dudley Boyz and Kid Rock would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Rock would be part of the celebrity wing, which features a number of stars such as Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson, Drew Carey and Donald Trump.

What's next?

Normally, the WWE shares one inductee at a time, weeks ahead of WrestleMania to get the vibe for the show going.

While WrestleMania is still a few months away, the list certainly is interesting, to say the least.

Author's take

Goldberg getting inducted into the Hall of Fame does make a lot of sense given his run a year or so ago when he picked up the championship from Kevin Owens. The former WCW champion is still remembered for his run in the other promotion and he would be a great addition to the Hall of Fame.

Ivory and The Dudley Boyz are legends in their own rights as the former was one of the stalwarts of the women’s division in the 90s and 2000s while the Dudley Boyz are possibly the greatest tag team to have graced the wrestling business in the last few decades.

Bigelow was considered one of the best in-ring talents during the 90s but he sadly passed away in 2007.

It will be interesting to see if the list does match the actual one that the WWE releases but for now, I would not mind seeing these stars getting their due in the Hall of Fame.
