Paige’s recent injury caused many to speculate her condition for the upcoming Women’s Royal Rumble, but the latest news suggests that the Raw Superstar is done as an in-ring performer for WWE.

The report comes from PWInsider which said that Paige received news at this week’s Raw taping that she would not be cleared to return to the ring.

Multiple sources said that the leader of Absolution is likely to be moved to a non-physical role with the company moving forward following the results of her latest medical tests.

The reason for Paige being examined dates back to a house show on December 28, 2017 at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, Long Island where Absolution took on Bayley, Mickie James, and Sasha Banks in a 6-woman tag team match.

Banks delivered a dropkick to Paige’s back that caused her to lose feeling in her extremities and resulted in the match being called off. She was believed to have suffered a stinger, or a nerve pinch injury, and was pulled from in-ring action for what was originally believed to be a timetable of a few weeks.

Paige’s medical troubles began in July 2016 when she had to undergo neck surgery that kept her out of action until the Raw after the 2017 Survivor Series pay-per-view.

The Anti-Diva’s WWE career began in 2011 when she signed a developmental contract with Florida Championship Wrestling which later became NXT.

Paige would go on to become the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion in 2014 and went on to the main roster to beat AJ Lee for the Diva’s Championship – becoming the youngest woman’s wrestler in WWE history to hold a title.
