What's the story?

NXT star and Mae Young Classic participant Zeda recently shared an image which showed her right-arm in a sling, signifying that she had picked up an injury.

The Asian-American shared an image on Instagram and it does seem she might be out of action for a while.

In case you didn't know...

Zeda, real name Julia Ho, only joined the WWE Performance Centre at the start of the year and made a huge impact with her performances.

The former model and singer also has an undefeated record in MMA and knows a number of martial arts such as Judo, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The heart of the matter

The rising star made her debut on NXT on June 30 and even featured in a number of matches, including a memorable six-woman tag match but she put up an image of her with her parents and that got a lot of fans speculating about her injury.

EwrestlingNews claims that the injury is to her elbow and a fan also wished Zeda the best and hoping her arm would heal soon.

What's next?

It still is not clear how long Zeda might be out for but given that she does have a history in fitness modelling and has a lot of experience in martial arts, she should be returning to the ring soon.

Author's take

Injuries are part and parcel of wrestling and it should as no surprise that Zeda did pick up an injury. The sling does not look all that bad at the moment and the fact that she is out and moving about could mean it is just a strain/sprain and should not keep her out of action for long.

Zeda has had a tough time when it comes to getting into the WWE as she mentioned in an interview but that has not stopped her from achieving her dream and hopefully, she will go on to bigger and better things once she returns from this minor setback.
