Absolution take over Total Divas
Absolution take over Total Divas

What's the story?

Paige has recently been forced to retire from in-ring action after suffering an injury at a house show. However, it seems that she and her fellow Absolution stable member Sonya Deville feature heavily in WWE's plans going forward, at least outside of the ring.

In case you didn't know...

A report surfaced leading up to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view that Paige's in-ring career was over following an injury she suffered at a house show. Since then, Paige has gone from being an active member of Absolution to a sort-of manager role for Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose.

The heart of the matter

Paige and Sonya Deville have been Instagramming a lot of Absolution's exploits recently, but her recent uploads seem to suggest that she has joined the cast of Total Divas, alongside Deville as the two were spotted with the likes of Naomi, Natalya and Lana.

The 'Total Divas' group went on a boat trip to see alligators and posted a lot of their visit onto social media, as you can see they make no attempt to hide that they're filming for a new season of Total Divas and that Paige and Sonya are part of the cast despite not yet being officially announced.

What's next?

I guess we'll have to wait for the new season of Total Divas to be officially announced, but I think we can safely say that it should come as no surprise to anyone when Paige and Sonya are announced as new cast additions

Author's take

I'm pleased that the WWE have found something for Paige to do given that she seems to no longer be allowed to wrestle and I'm also glad they're putting more of a spotlight on Sonya as she seems like a truly interesting person outside of her character.
