From the WWE Rumor Mill: Paige could be the mastermind of recent NXT call-ups
What's the story?
On the Raw and SmackDown Live following Survivor Series there were a few new names added to the roster. Paige returned to Raw and brought Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose with her. On the Blue Brand, Ruby Riot debuted alongside Liv Morgan and Sarah Logan.
Both new factions left anyone facing them in a puddle of destruction and they seemed very similar to each other. Now new theories, especially a story Bryan Alvarez heard WWE was considering might have revealed a connection between these two occurrences.
In case you didn't know...
Gang warfare is something that pro wrestling has utilized for a long time. After all, what better way to establish a force than to put them in a position where they look like they can't be defeated in greater numbers?
The heart of the matter
There are several ideas floating around about what direction they could go with concerning this new group of females on either WWE brand. Bryan Alvarez brought up one idea has heard on the Bryan and Vinny Show.
“I don’t know if this is going to happen but I heard that one of the ideas they had was that it would come out that Paige was behind both invasions.
How they would do that, I have no idea because there’s a Raw brand and a SmackDown brand [and] it doesn’t make any sense if they’re not doing the inter-brand stuff except during Survivor Series. It would make sense for [the angle] to be exactly the same if Paige were behind it.”
As time goes on we could very well be seeing some connection between these two groups. WWE could always flip the script and go in a different direction with them. But in the end, it will probably be very fun to watch play out.
This new story really does share a likeness to each other and it can't just be a coincidence. But stranger things have taken place in WWE before so I wouldn't put anything past them at this point.
